PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Natalie Thomas was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she was able to develop her passion for social justice and equity. In 2023 she was hired to be the Program Coordinator for Black Programs, and was appointed the staff advisor for the Black Student Association. Within her current role, she enjoys advocating for students by listening and coming up with creative solutions that are in the best interest of all involved. Her empathy makes her particularly successful with helping students navigate their experience at New Mexico State University. It is her hope to leave a positive impact on the “Black Experience” at NMSU, by working with the students to come up with interesting and educational programs for all students to attend. Her favorite events that she has helped implement include Black Graduation, Marsha P. Johnson Craft night, and the various events for Juneteenth.

Fun Fact: When not working, she enjoys time meditating, reading, working out, and spending time with her family.
